About

R. S. Buck is a free-lance lighting designer, programmer, and electrician working in and around NYC. She has lived in the city since the summer of 2012. Before moving to the city, she was the Master Electrician of the Olney Theatre Center of the Performing Arts in the greater DC-metro area. She is originally from North Carolina.

Buck was Lab Company Lighting Designer for the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY in 2011. Additionally, she has won awards for her Scenic Designs - for more info, please see Press.
Beyond designing, she has an extensive history in stage management and technical direction, as well as having written and directed shows. She also has experience with audio programming and engineering.

She is an alumna of Bryn Mawr College, where she studied Philosophy, Gender and Sexuality, and Mathematics. She received her B.A. in Dramatic Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
